John Scott and his v7n network has announced that the keywords ‘V7ndotcom Elursrebmem‘ have been chosen for their SEO Contest which is going to send everyone apeshit now that v7n is putting up $4,000 plus an iPod to the first place winner who meets their contest requirements. Unlike previous contests, it looks like this one is catching on already in the non-SEO forum world, with bloggers and publishers also shooting for the big money prize. I also hear there are some other people along Boser offering big dough for top rankings with alternative contest requirements. Looks like the results, which are to be announced in May, may be a bit diverse and hopefully, turn SEO upside down.

I was just sitting here drinking my coffee and I had a thought. Far from making sense of the web as they purport to do, Google is single handedly turning it into a bloated disaster zone. First they spouted the content mantra. Webmasters diligenlty pumed out millions of pages to satisfy the hungry cralwers. Then they started the anchor text numbers game. People then went out and built millions of sites especially to promote their other pages. Now we have adsense. Pages are now being made from crap Cooking especially to make as many adsense impressions as possible.

Since opening its office there last summer, Google‘s attempts to establish its presence has moved at dial-up speed — resulting in a slow and sometimes balky connection with lawmakers that has managed to irritate both Democrats and Republicans.
